Beaded Bracelets
Beaded bracelets made the way blended incense is made rather than cut from a block of wood.
The botanicals of each formula — agarwood, sandalwood and whatever else the recipe calls for — are ground to powder in a stone mortar, sieved, weighed, bound into a paste, and rolled between the palms one bead at a time. A bead made this way carries its scent inside it instead of on the surface, and the colour comes from the blend rather than from any dye.
The formula changes from bracelet to bracelet, and the beads run from 8mm to 15mm. Beaded bracelets for women and men alike — the fine sizes sit quiet under a cuff and are the ones to reach for in stacked bracelets, while the heavy end has real weight on the wrist and reads as menswear.
